New Feature – Share your Wardrobe

Hello blogger friends!

I had an idea for a weekly post that involves YOU! It’s a new mummy/daddy and toddler fashion feature called ‘Share Your Wardrobe’.

We all have our own individual style, and everyone loves clothes – so why not give us a little insight into your wardrobe! I’m hoping to feature a different blogger each week. The idea is to share your and your child’s (or children’s) favourite outfit, and your fave places to shop. You’ll obviously get to share your blog and social media links on the post and hopefully get some more readers.

For the first post, I will ‘share my wardrobe’, so you can get an idea. I took a photo of doing flat lays of the clothes (and standing on my sofa to get the shot!), but you could share a photo of yourself and/or your child wearing the outfit if you want.

SHARE YOUR WARDROBE – THE MUMMY STYLIST

1) TELL ME WHAT YOUR BLOG IS ABOUT:
My blog is about my life with my 3-year-old boy, featuring toddler fashion, days out, design, crafting, upcycling and general mum stuff!

2) WHAT’S YOUR FAVE OUTFIT?

Mum:
Dress – Dorothy Perkins
Leggings – Next
Shoes – TK Maxx

Son:
Vest – TK Maxx
Jeans – Next
Shoes – Next

3) WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT YOUR FAVE OUTFITS?
For me this is my favourite dress, I love the lemon yellow and the contrasting black and white flower print. It’s got a real retro feel to it, and it makes me feel like a 1950s housewife (in a good way!), like I’m at a tea party. I always wear leggings with dresses, and these shoes are made of denim fabric – they are so comfy.

For Tyler, I love the neon orange on this outfit, it’s so cheerful and bright. The jeans are really light and comfy, the waist fits him perfectly and it’s so soft, which is sometimes hard to find with jeans. My boy has wide feet, and these shoes from Next are wide, with neon orange on the sole, so you get the flash of colour when he runs!

4) WHERE DO YOU USUALLY SHOP FOR YOUR CLOTHES?
I am a big fan of girly, flowing dresses that skim the knee – I usually find them in Dorothy Perkins, Debenhams and New Look.

5) WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE SHOPS FOR CHILDREN’S CLOTHES?
Next! Since Tyler is now in the boys section rather than baby, I find the clothes are a bit more grungy. I still like him to look cute, so it’s great that the Next boys range still features cute graphics of cars on their T-Shirts. And their jeans fit Tyler’s little waist really well. I also buy a lot of his clothes from H&M.

6) YOU MAY HAVE HEARD, I’M A WOOLWORTHS NUT 😛
WHAT WAS YOUR LOCAL STORE, AND DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE MEMORY?
My local store was Uxbridge. My favourite memory is buying Barbie T-shirts from the children’s section when I was actually at uni, so I could wear them out clubbing!

If you would like to take part in ‘Share Your Wardrobe’, do get in touch using the contact form below. I’m hoping to run it every Monday.

Thanks!

  1. What a great idea! Until recently, my wardrobe was pretty lame – I recently bought some new bits though! Zach’s wardrobe is always way cooler than mine! I might just message you and take part! Thanks so much for linking up with #TwinklyTuesday

    • Thank you, it’s nice to focus on mummy’s clothes for a change. Even though toddler clothes are way cute! I’m looking forward to sharing other bloggers’ fashion style xx
