1) TELL ME WHAT YOUR BLOG IS ABOUT:

The Colourful Kind is a blog about Fashion and Personal Style. I document my daily outfits but also try and go to Fashion Shows and write about emerging designers. I recently attended the London College of Fashion Menswear Graduate Show so there are a few pieces on graduate Collections. I also like to visit Museums and exhibitions and write about them, next up will be the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty Exhibition.

 2) WHAT’S YOUR FAVE OUTFIT?

The Colourful Kind Outfit : Share Your Wardrobe

This outfit I would wear out to dinner or a party. The jacket, blue top and heels are from Zara, the trousers are from Mango, the clutch is John Lewis, the choker is Topshop and the bracelet John Lewis. I love that this outfit can be styled up or down simply by wearing heels or flats, or changing the white trousers with jeans. It also makes a nice change from wearing a skirt or dress, trousers are elegant yet sophisticated too –  plus warm for those chilly nights. This jacket is so versatile and works with so many things.

ANGELA’S DAUGHTER’S FAVE OUTFIT:

This dress was a present from a close friend, I adore the beautiful print and wish it came in my size.

3) WHERE DO YOU USUALLY SHOP FOR YOUR CLOTHES?

Zara would be the number one, closely followed by Mango, Topshop, and GAP.

4) WHERE DO YOU USUALLY SHOP FOR CHILDREN’S CLOTHES?

M&Co, Sainsburys, Next, Zara Baby and John Lewis. We get given some beautiful pieces from Baby Gap and The Little White Company. My friends have great taste in baby clothes!

5) WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE CLOTHES SHOPS FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD AND DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE MEMORY?

My mother used to buy a lot of my clothes from Adams by Sainsburys, but also loved the Laura Ashley dresses. I remember being obsessed with the Spice Girls and often they’d have their stomachs on show, I too wanted my stomach on show and one afternoon – I must have been around seven – mum taking me shopping and I wouldn’t rest until I’d found the perfect stomach-showing top. Now that I’m a mum I’m surprised she let me wear tops that showed my belly button. (Well only at home and to parties)….

6) YOU MAY HAVE HEARD, I’M A WOOLWORTHS NUT 😛 DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE MEMORY?

Just loving the pic n mix!

7) ANY OTHER CLOTHES SHOPPING TIPS YOU HAVE?

Quality over Quantity. It’s far better to buy one or two pieces that will last ten years or more, than ten pieces that won’t last.

Thanks so much for sharing your wardrobe Angela, I love your fave outfit. Navy blue and white is a favourite combo of mine, gives it a nautical edge. And your daughter’s dress is gorgeous, I love the little birdie on it. I too remember that Spice Girls trend, my little sister was the same and she was only 5 at the time!
