Very exciting news for interiors fans in Berkshire… HomeSense – the lovely sponsors of our favourite HomeEtc linky 🙂 –  is coming to Taplow next week!

For me this is great, as Taplow is Slough’s neighbouring town, in between Burnham and Maidenhead.  They are coming to the new Bishop Centre shopping centre. If you’re local, you’ll have seen the empty unit next to TK Maxx and Tesco. My husband and I were taking bets on who would move in, and had never have guessed it would be Homesense!

If you’re unaware of who HomeSense are, basically they are the sister company of TK Maxx. You know how TK Maxx has an eclectic Home Department – well HomeSense is a whole store of that department! I wasn’t aware of the brand until recently as there weren’t many branches in the south of the UK, but they are on a huge expansion plan, with new stores opening across the country.

Last month I took part in the Christmas shoot for Style at Home magazine, where a group of readers teamed up with a retailer to decorate a Christmas tree. One of the readers was teamed with HomeSense (which is how I found out about the new store opening in Taplow), and basically the style was exactly to my taste – bright, bold and quirky! I had to take some photos. I fell in love with this blue armchair and the nest of white coffee tables.

The Christmas decorations were of the quirky theme for the photo shoot. This owl cracked me up so much – it has a hat! Don’t worry if this is not to your taste – they do all the traditional decs too.

I just loved this little suitcase – just makes me think going on holiday and coming home for Christmas.

So now to be able to just pop into Taplow HomeSense and buy this stuff makes me very happy!

The new Taplow store is opening at the Bishop Centre next Thursday 1st October at 10am. And if you visit on the day and spend £30 or more, you may WIN a prize!

Basically, to celebrate the launch of the new store, HomeSense are giving every customer who spends £30 or more on the launch day the chance to try their luck on the Curiosity Cabinet. You need to select a key to open one of the cabinet doors, and see if the door you pick will reveal a HomeSense prize!

I certainly can’t wait to visit. I love looking at Home stuff, and to have a whole store of it – yes!!
