After last week’s post, I think I jinxed it and it suddenly became awfully colder. Plus with the clocks going back, I felt it was time to get out our winter coats! Here’s Tyler out and about in town wearing his parka from Matalan. I love it’s khaki colour and the furry hood – with the hood up he reminds me of the boy in East is East! I couldn’t get a photo to show you as Tyler kept pulling the hood back down!
I love these pictures as you can see Slough’s town regeneration in action. There’s the new bus station and next to it is the old O2 Head Office being demolished as we speak. I can imagine O2 employees going, oh my god my desk was there!
Anyhoo, back to the jacket, I bought it from Matalan last year for £20. It is padded and has a tartan pattern inside. It’s age 3-4 and fits perfectly over Tyler’s clothes.
I like how the sleeves have a ribbed border at the hands to keep the warm in. The zip is a bit fiddly to do up, but aren’t they always on kids jackets?! I have yet to find one that is easy to do up – if you have found one, PLEASE let me know!

On another note: can’t believe o2 HQ is gone! Their call centre near me (where I worked 10 years ago) shut down today too. Sad times! #TT_Thursday

Thank you, it defo keeps him warm 🙂 Oh yes it’s so weird seeing it being demolished. But it’s been empty and derelict for ages, they’ve moved to these swanky new offices in Burnham, seriously massive offices. That’s sad they shut down the call centre where you worked – wah! X
