Shopping and Saving Money with Quidco High Street

Guess what, you know that gorgeous tropical Ted Baker romper I wrote about in my Tropical Baby Outfits post – well I only went and got it! Plus I managed to save money as it was Debenhams 10% off event and I got cashback through Quidco High Street. Result!

I suppose I should explain – last week I wrote about 3 things I love about the High Street, as part of Quidco’s #HighStreetHappy campaign. And they challenged me to go shopping and see how much cashback I would get through Quidco High Street. A shopping challenge – yes please!

I set up my Quidco account on their website, and linked my debit card to my Quidco account. They then had a list of High Street retailers that take part in the scheme, for which I had to click ‘Activate’ to activate the offers. To my joy, Debenhams was on the list with 2% cashback  and JoJo Maman Bébé with a whopping 7% cashback!

On Bank Holiday Monday my sister came over and together with my husband and Tyler, we had a shopping day out in Slough. I wanted to buy Tyler new clothes for his birthday, but obviously I had to buy something for Honey Nut! I went straight to the Ted Baker section in Childrenwear, where there were such beautiful tropical outfits. I love them all! I picked out the pink floral romper at £18, and the matching tropical dribble bibs at £8.

There was a Debenhams 10% off event on, so at the till they scanned at £16.20 and £7.20. I paid with my debit card, which would ensure the cashback from Quidco would be activated.

After some more browsing, we had lunch and drinks in Starbucks. Shopping can be hard work, especially being pregnant, I needed to rest my feet!

The next day, Tyler woke wanting to go on the little train to Windsor. Which was fine by me, I wanted to go to the JoJo Maman Bébé store there. He was so happy, he loves train journeys so much.

On arrival he walked straight into Daniels as usual, straight to the toy department to look at the trains. I had to drag him away so we could have some lunch – I was starving!

Jojo-Maman-Bebe-Bravado-Pink-Maternity-Bra-QuidcoAfter that, we headed to JoJo Maman Bébé, where I bought a pink Bravado maternity/nursing bra for £26, paid for with my debit card. I really needed one, as things have been getting very uncomfortable with me being in the third trimester. And my Facebook bump buddies all recommended Bravado. Maternity bras are usually so ugly and either white or black. So it is sooooo nice to find a pink one, it makes me feel so happy!

Now, this is how much cashback I will be getting, just by paying with my debit card:

Romper – £16.20 | Debenhams 2% cashback = 32p
Bibs – £7.20 | Debenhams2% cashback = 14p
Pink Bra – £26 | JoJo Maman Bébé 7% cashback = £1.82

Total cashback = £2.28

£2.28 just for shopping like I normally do. It’s free money! So imagine this over a few months worth of shopping, it would add up to loads more.

If you fancy joining Quidco High Street too, you just need to visit quidco.com/high-street and click ‘Join Free’. Then link one or more of your debit/credit cards that you use for shopping. And then finally you click ‘Activate’ on all the High Street offers you like. I’ve included the retailers that are taking part at the end of this post.

I hope you find this useful. Anything that helps save money –  without having to do too much extra –  gets the thumbs up from me.
