My New Blogging Space | Desk Update

Yesterday I finally set up my new desk area, somewhere where I can sit at my laptop and get creative. It’s funny, I had a white desk at my workplace for years and years, but I never actually personalised it or made it homely. Well this desk is in my home, so I have made it into my dream workspace.

At the end of 2016, I pulled together a ‘Blogger Christmas Wishlist‘, which was a big hint to my family. They did well and got me all the things I wanted – thanks family!

And then to finish it off, my lovely friend Elaine, who blogs at Entertaining Elliot, sent me a diary and coloured pens for Christmas – just perfect 😀

These are my trinkets from New Look, I love the rose-gold/copper look, and this pineapple is an LED light, it changes colour and looks awesome in the evenings. I now have a word lightbox, a blogger must-have. And my super cool Noodoll Riceturnip doll, or as Tyler says, my bunny – isn’t he the coolest?!

My husband surprised me with the most awesome-est gift – a flamingo light!!! It’s from talkingtables.co.uk and I love it soooooo much. I put it on in the evenings, and the kiddos and I have a dance around the flat with this light on and our disco lights, so much fun!

This photo frame is from New Look – it’s the peg frame, but I decided to put my wallet prints in that I got printed from Cheerz ages ago. I love looking up and seeing those inspirational memories.

This pen pot is full of Tyler’s pencils, but it looks cool hey. I kept this cashew nut pot that was from M&S, as I thought it was too nice to throw away after we ate all the cashew nuts!

And finally to the side of my desk is another worksurface on which I’ve put my new cloud chalkboard, where I can write little messages. And that teacup thing is one Tyler made at his preschool last year. They sort of match don’t they!

So that is my new blogging workspace. It makes me feel so happy to finally have it done. I bought the desk last year from Ryman’s – it’s a narrow one to fit in the space – but it was just bare with my laptop and my sewing machine. Now with all my trinkets, it is just perfect and puts me in the mood for more blogging. Thank you Ganesh, Angie, Zu and Elaine for my pressies!

What does your workspace look like? Have you lots of trinkets or are you a laptop on the sofa/bed person?

  4. It looks amazing! I love the flamingo light (good job hubby!) and the picture frame. My desk has loads of little decorative bits and bobs on it from over the years but I tend to sit on the sofa these days whilst the OH watches TV. Hope you’re getting a lot of inspiration from the new desk! #MarvMondays
