Time for an outfit post – these are some of Lily’s summer outfits that she wore in May. Some of them don’t look summer-y as they are long sleeved, but they are light and I prefer her covered up from those pesky UV rays – better safe, eh?
First up we have an outfit from Next that was a Christmas present from her granny. It’s 9-12 months so fits her well (she was 10 months when this photo was taken). The fabric is light, and the leggings fit nicely around the waist – you know how some leggings are really tight, well these aren’t! The socks don’t match, but they are from GAP if you’re interested.
Top & Leggings – Next | Socks – Gap | Mummy’s Hairclip – Forever 21
The next outfit is a mix of H&M and an M&S item. The ‘Hello’ dotty long-sleeved tee is from H&M, it is such a light fabric that it’s absolutely perfect for the heatwave we are suffering at the mo. Even the health visitor said this is what we should be dressing babies in – protects them from the sun and is cool to wear. I think it was only £3.99, and I got it recently so you might see them instore. The leggings are part of an M&S Christmas outfit – hence the stars and reindeer. I just like the colour.

This dress is super girly with the pink and the swans, and it was from Boots. I put a bodysuit and tights underneath as it was cold that day.
Swan Dress – Boots £6 (2 for £8) | Bodysuit – John Lewis | Tights – H&M | Headband – Claire’s Accessories
This is one of my faves, as she could literally match me, if only I could fit back into my own pink dress (damn you post-pregnancy body!) The T-Shirt is an age 18-24 month tee from GAP that fits like a dress on her, teamed with jeggings from Primark.
T-Shirt – GAP – £1 in Jan Sale | Bodysuit – Carters, TK Maxx – Leggings | Jeggings – £2.50 Primark | Headband – Ted Baker, Debenhams
And finally this is my favourite outfit of the lot, and I LOVE the shorts that look like a skirt, it’s so smart and feminine and summery and perfect! My mum bought it as a gift from Next, no reason – aren’t grandparents the best!?
Bodysuit – Next (from Choice for £1.50) | Shorts – £11, Next |Headband – Ted Baker, Debenhams
I do like the age Lily is at, as her clothes are lasting longer – I think that’s the benefit of being a girl, dresses can fit as she gets bigger – as long as the fabric is stretchy.
How are you dressing your kiddies in this hot weather?

Gorgeous outfits! Love the pink swan dress especially 🙂 it’s tricky dressing them up in hot weather – mine spends most of the time back home in her knickers only 😀 #whatmykidwore
