20 Kids Events in March around Slough & Windsor | Berkshire

March is here, one more month until the Easter school holiday, but there is still plenty on. Thursday 2nd March is World Book Day, International Women’s Day is on Wednesday 8th March, Holi Festival of Colours is on 7/8 March, both St Patrick’s Day and Red Nose Day are on Friday 17th March, Mothers Day is on Sunday 19th March and Ramadan starts on 23rd March. Plus the clocks go forward on Sunday 26th March, so the days will be brighter.

Here are 20 things you can do with the kids around Slough and Windsor in Berkshire this March 2023.

1) Maidenhead’s Big Read Weekend – Events on from 1st to 10th March. Space-themed events on 4/5 March at Maidenhead library.

2) Meet Paddington Bear at Broad Street Mall, Reading on 4th March, plus free crafting

3) Ride a train on the Prospect Railway in Reading on Sunday 5th March 12-3.30pm

4) Celebrate Holi Dhamaka – Festival of Colours at Slough Cricket Club on Saturday 11th March

5) Visit Legoland Windsor – last 2 days of Brick Week on 4/5 March. Then they are open as normal everyday from 17th March to 31st March 10am – 5pm.

6) See Hulla Balloony Moon Time, a moonlit show based on Pat-a-cake Baby, at Norden Farm Maidenhead, on Saturday 11th March, £10 -£12 tickets, recommended for age 2-8

7) See Around the World in 80 days, a family show at The Beck Theatre Hayes, Friday 10th and Saturday 11th March, recommended for age 5+

8) Visit the Spring Craft Fair at St Paul’s Church, Slough on Saturday 11th March

9) Visit Eton College Museums for free – Sunday afternoons in March.

10) Book a free day out with your lottery ticket during the National Lottery Open Week from 18th – 26th March

11) Watch a Mothers Day Concertini with Rogue Opera at Norden Farm Maidenhead, on Saturday 18th March, £10-£12 tickets, recommended for age 0-8

12) Join in with fun and games at Eton Action Fair on Saturday 18th March
