It’s either a good thing or a bad thing, but today for the first time whilst we were shopping for new clothes, the boy told me which ones he liked! He’ll be 3 next month, so i guess this is another part of him growing up. Usually I go shopping while he naps as he moans too much when he’s awake. And today I expected no different when after lunch, I said to him “Let’s go shopping!” and he goes, “NO shopping!”
We went anyway, and in Next he asked to come out of the pushchair. I thought he would lead me out of the shop, but no, he was actually looking at all the clothes! So I picked out some t-shirts and showed him, and he gave me a clear ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ to which ones he likes. There was one in particular that got a gasp and a “Wow cars” in a gasp-y voice. Anyway, it seems he’s got good taste (phew!), so I thought I’d share his choices. You can see there’s a theme here…
So I guess shopping will be a different experience now he has a say. It’s nice that he has an opinion on fashion 🙂
Do your little ones like to have a say on their clothes choices?
My little boy is only just over one but if he finds his ‘ a car, a car, a car’ tshirts (especially the first one pictured above) he wants to change straight into it…bless these fashion conscious little guys! x

Haha, I’d expect that from girls, must be hard! Your boy sounds funny, I’m guessing that’s Tyler in the future :-O For now, yes I’m relieved he seems to have style, phew! xx

Great post. My two have their own style. Will is more rustic/ cool ….think Olly Murrs. James is more ‘funny’….he likes thirty with pictures like batman, star wars or jokes.
Although when shopping I do tend to buy what I like for them still

My 3 year old has been like this for a while, she loves to rifle through clothes rails and generally picks out lovely stuff. However, when it comes to getting dressed she can come up with some very peculiar outfits! haha! x

Awww I think it’s brilliant that he is choosing his own clothes. My eldest is nearly 5 and really doesn’t care what I dress him in. Perhaps I should start asking him? lol

I adore the middle one!! The kids are having some awful big growth spurts these days, must be the nice weather! And almost everything now that used to fit a few weeks ago, is now too small!! 😮

Oh my goodness, tell me about it! Suddenly everything is too short on my boy. Maybe it is the sunshine haha. Although we could cut the trousers into shorts! xx

I can imagine my boys will be picking clothes covered in cars when they get to that stage as they are obsessed, I have actually brought my little on that first one for our holiday x

Good for him! And good for you, letting him choose! My boys have been given most of their clothes — hand-me-downs from generous friends — but they get to choose what they wear each day. Within reason. I draw the line at the Batman costume 😉 Thanks for linking up with #TwinklyTuesday
