I'm on Instagram!

So, I may have been in pink fluffy heaven yesterday in @homesense_ukie - I mean, the husband will come round, right?! I’m slowly putting the idea in his head that pink walls in the living room will look great. And velvet. Everyone needs velvet in their life 😉 Joining in with #whatmamaworemonday with @heyitsromeca and @stylemotherbeat and the coat I am living in these days because, you know, it’s PINK! 😁 . . PS Thank you @mikeyshankar for the 📸
Go and find magic in the most ordinary of places. That is what totally inspired this image. Last week, I think it was Wednesday morning, we were walking through our ordinary park to school except it was super foggy, the grass was crisp and white with frost. The kids were excited, and in my eyes we weren’t in an ordinary park in Slough, we were walking through a magical, mysterious forest. Because the fog really does create that mystery - even if it was for just 5 minutes! #whpuptome or my made up hashtag of #whpfindmagicinyourtown
This is our #mirrormirrorselfie entry for the @queensmereobservatorysc #qoinsta competition. And we are doubly committed as we are wearing outfits bought from the Queensmere Observatory shopping centre. My dress is from the @debenhams there - I love the Debenhams in Queensmere as there is so much history in the store if you look for it. If you go to the lifts you’ll see little wooden hints of it being Suters department store. Both our leggings are from @primark in the Observatory - which used to be my fave shop Woolworths back in the 90s. Lily’s unicorn dress and my pink shoes are from @choicestores - I love rummaging around in Choice as you find past season Next clothes at bargain prices. Her dress was £4! I would love to win £200 to spend at Queensmere Observatory - I’d buy all the fluffy cushions and throws in B&M, and maybe some toys, jumpers from the H&M outlet, handbags from TK Maxx, clothes from Primark, books from The Works, all the Body Shop creams, ooh shoes from Debenhams. Can you tell I love shopping 😂 (PS NOT an ad, I don’t work with Queensmere Observatory, I pay for my own shopping, this is a genuine competition entry!)
Have no idea how this is going to go down on Instagram but I wanted to try an interiors photo. Because I keep seeing nice photos of people’s homes and it’s inspiring me to finally turn our new build with it’s blank white walls into a home. But I can’t decide what I want to do with the walls, dusky pink or light grey, do I need some framed artwork etc. So to start with I copied a photo from Instagram and styled with the stuff I had. Positioning the cushions and the throw, putting the plant on the coffee table and the mug on a magazine as if I had been reading. This isn’t actually how we live, that plant would get knocked over 😂 But I just wanted to see how it would look! Anyway, I think I’m going to take more interiors photos to help me decide how I want to decorate. This could be sort some of blog series, like “How to turn your new-build into a home” - what do you think, would you be interested to see something like that? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #interioryesplz #dailydecordose #decorcrushing #currentdesignsituation #currenthomeview #cozyhome #lovewhereyoudwell #lovetohome #homebeautiful #homeforinspo #howihaven #showmeyourstyle #showmeyourstyled #lovelyinteriors #howwedwell #interiorsnapshot #theeverygirlathome #littleaccountlove #flashofdelight #mycosyhome #charminghomes #mycuratedaesthetic #showmehowyoushine #myinteriorvibe #mystylishspace #nesttoimpress #mygorgeousgaff
Yes I did it, I bought the cushions - yeah!!! Seriously, the husband was like, do we need more cushions?? I was like, duh, don’t you get it, it’s all about the different textures. Hello?!? Anyway, for #whatmamaworemonday with @heyitsromeca @stylemotherbeat I am wearing my pastel pink @primark dress, because I am really feeling for all the pinks lately. I am so happy it’s back on trend in interiors and fashion. Give me all the pink!!
🎼 Every day I love you less and less... hang on, no we can’t have that for our wedding dance. Real discussion from 10 years ago 😆 #whp❤️
