How often have you been in a family photo? Not much if you’re like me and always taking the photo! I have hundreds of my son and his daddy. Then last month I discovered this monthly linky called ‘Me and Mine’. The idea is to share a photo each month of your whole family – including you. In years to come, your child will want to see photos of both mummy and daddy. I thought, what a great idea! So for the month of April, I’ve been getting to grips with the self-timer on my new camera (no selfie stick for me :-P)
This is a photo taken at Savill Gardens in Windsor Great Park. I had to run, climb up on a ledge, nearly slipping off – hence the silly expression on my face. Still it’s got the 3 of us it – hurrah!
April has been a lovely month, I can’t believe it’s nearly over. The sun came out which meant lots of sunny walks in the first half of the month. We discovered Black Park, Langley Country Park and Savill Gardens. We also went to the London Transport Museum, Beconscot Model Village, and I took my boy for a trip on the trains to Basingstoke, making my first vlog.
I’ve had a few child-free evenings this month and seen the new Fast & Furious and Avengers films at the cinema, had a girls Karaoke night in London, and one evening I dined at Tinseltown with my university friends. It’s a American Diner styled restaurant, and I was telling them about this chick-lit book I was reading called ‘The Gospel according to Drew Barrymore’ by Penny Wright. Then freakily I noticed above my friend’s head was a photo of Drew Barrymore! I took this as a sign, and had a Drew Barrymore film fest that weekend with my sister.
The month is not over though – today is my husband’s birthday! I decorated our apartment with streamers, balloons and lanterns on Monday so it’s been a week of celebrating. And on that note, I would like to end this post by saying, Happy Birthday Ganesh!!! xxx
