Me and Mine – November 2018

The only family photo we took this month is a selfie that includes my sister from the Fireworks display in early November. It was a really fun evening, I actually can’t believe it’s was almost a month ago! The weather was still mild, which made all the difference as it wasn’t painful being outside. This year we arrived just before the fireworks so there was less waiting around, and then stayed to see the bonfire and go on the funfair rides afterwards, when it was less crowded. Definitely worked out better this way round. The kids had had naps at Nana’s house, so they were able to be up later than usual.

November-2018

On to what we have loved this month:

ME:
Being out and about in the local area – fireworks, the Xmas lights switch on, the Remembrance Day parade.
Discovering new places to have coffee with Lily – Chalfont St Peters, Stoke Poges.
Watching Holby City (the latest storyline was epic!), The Apprentice and Little Drummer Girl.
Sorting out an after school routine for Tyler and Lily, and doing homework with Tyler, it feels good to help him.
Being more social this month than usual, meeting with uni friends and blogger friends.
Getting back into interior design, giving my parents living room a makeover with new wallpaper.

G:
Football – playing and watching
On TV – Ozark, Little Drummer Girl
Lily’s enthusiastic greetings when I come home.
Getting into cooking again, well that one time I made noodles
Shopping for new clothes
Seeing my cousin Mindy at the end of the month.

Tyler:
Making train and bus stations at lego club
Recreating bus journeys with his best friend at school lunch times
Trying out new foods by having school lunches instead of packed lunch
Watching Izzy’s game time and other train gaming videos on YouTube
Playing Cities on Uncle Zu’s XBox, and hanging out with Uncle Zu
Hanging out with Aunty at the Xmas Lights switch-on/Bonfire Night
Doing his Mental Maths books and giving himself star stickers.
Building train tracks at Nana and Grandpa’s house
Having train adventures to the London Transport Museum, to Ealing and to Agee’s house.

Lily:
Watching Peppa Pig games and toys on YouTube
Climbing into mummy and daddy’s bed in the morning and waiting for us to wake so she can bug us for a bottle of milk and the tv on!
Singing ‘True Colours’ whilst holding her Poppy and Branch dolls.
Looking for Peppa books at the library
Marmite on toast, and doughnuts
Having the disco lights on and dancing to the Trolls CD
Sitting at the computer at Nana and Grandpa’s house, and generally bossing Nana about.
Dressing herself, and her favourite outfit – Peppa t-shirt, watermelon tutu skirt and polka dot leggings.

Whilst we did a lot in November, I am glad it went quickly as it means it’s now Christmas! What did you love in November?
