Windsor Duck Tour | Review

Have you ever been on a bus that turns into a boat?! Well, you can do that in Windsor with the Windsor Duck Tours. We did it in the summer holidays and I tell you what, there is nothing better than feeling like you are in holiday in your local area. This experience is just that 💕

The ride is so relaxing, as the windows are open and you feel the wind blowing through your hair. Seeing the places you normally walk by from the boat on the water, it’s just awesome.

The best bit is when the bus goes from road to water with a splash! 💦 It’s just amazing, I still can’t get my head around it.

There’s a tour guide on board who tells you all these interesting facts about the area, stuff that even a local wouldn’t have known. Be ready for a shock on the cost of going the Eton College.

We chose the 🦢 Swan Splash Tour 🦢 because we wanted more time on the water. We had a drive up by Windsor Castle and through town to the River Thames. We sailed towards the castle and Eton and then turned round the other way. It took us way further up the river to a part we hadn’t been to before, past some million pound mansions 🙀

If you want a tour with equal road and water time, then choose the Mallard Tour. Both tours are one hour long.

Tickets must be pre-booked online to guarantee a spot. Buggies can be folded up and kept in the boat for the tour. The ride is not too fast or bumpy, it really was relaxing. A lovely treat for both locals and for visitors to Windsor.

Although the tickets are pricey, it really is worth it for a once-a-year treat. I mean, a bus that turns into a boat – it’s such a buzz for both the kids and adults to experience it, and you really do get that holiday feeling. Give it a try!
