I have a very special edition of ‘What the Kids Wore’ featuring the outfits they wore to their uncle’s wedding last week. Many of you will have seen the beautiful dress that I posted on Instagram last month. It is lush. Normally I am one for finding bargains, but it’s not everyday your brother gets married, so I splashed out £45 on this dress. Worth it though, Lily looked so gorgeous in it. The dress and clips were from Monsoon and the shoes I found in H&M in the sale for a fiver. See I had to get one bargain in there 😉

As for Tyler, he wore a Ted Baker morning suit that was hired from a well-known chain. They did stuff up the order, so he is wearing Sainsbury’s school trousers, a Sainsbury’s suit shirt, and the cutest patent black shoes ever from Roco clothing.

The two of them looked so sweet together, and so smart, going well with grand surroundings. They were also fascinated with the gravel outside – the simple things, eh?
I put an ivory headband on Lily and then the hairclip, as her hair is quite crazy so it looks better with a headband holding it back.
I also found these cute little diamonte bangles – her first jewellery. She loved wearing them, she kept looking at them in awe. Such a girl!
Here is a side angle of the dress, you can see how beautiful the detailing is on it. I didn’t want to take Lily out of this dress in the evening, she looked like a fairy princess.
And as for Tyler he looked like a little man, matching his dada and grandpa and all the best men. Cuteness! He was the pageboy and brought the rings up to my brother during the ceremony, and he just did it, no nerves or anything! I’m so proud of him.
When my brother was planning this wedding and he talked about the outfits, I always thought, yeah right, how on earth are these two going to survive a day in fancy clothes, imagining them to be uncomfortable. But it reality, the clothes were comfortable and both of them loved dressing up! You would think Lily would be too young to understand, but she was so happy, playing with the tulle of the skirt. And Tyler understood that this was a special day and was excited to wear the suit.
All in all, a success. If you are after comfortable formal kids clothing for a special occasion, I can totally recommend Monsoon dresses for girls and Roco Clothing/Sainsbury’s for boys formalwear.

Monsoon little girl dresses are unmatched on the high street as far as I know, all their girls range is generally lovely…
One tip I’d give with buying from them as they’re expensive is watch out for their major sales – you’ll get great discounts on some gorgeous stuff… It’s a strategy that’s worked for me!
