AD | You all know how much we love Windsor and sharing with you how much there is to do here – there’s loads for children and adults! Our fave area in Windsor for shopping and dining has always been Windsor Royal Station. As soon as you step off the train, you see all the beautiful architecture and the gorgeous shops and restaurants.
This summer there’s a children’s trail around the centre called Windsor Wonders.

After coffee and snacks at Caffè Nero, we started off at A Dog’s Life where we picked up a trail guide. There are 10 questions to answer on the trail. In the shop window is a QR code which you scan on your phone to get the first answer and find out which shop to head to next!

This was loads of fun, and each question teaches you an interesting history fact. Like did you know Robert Edward MacClean attempted to assassinate Queen Victoria with a pistol in 1882, right on the spot where the Heidi cafe is now!!

I loved being able to browse the shops whilst doing the trail – seeing the colourful new mug designs in Le Creuset, looking at cute kids clothes in Joules, pretty dresses in Phase Eight and much more.

We even got to admire some amazing art in Artique, before finishing our trail at Roly’s Fudge. Omg it smells so good in this shop. The kids handed in their completed trail sheets to the lady and she gave them their prize of vanilla fudge.

We popped into Molton Brown next door, as I love their soaps, and then got cronuts from Dum Dum Doughnuts – have you tried them before? If not, go go go, the cronuts are amazing!!

The Windsor Wonders trail is on until Wednesday 1st September, so you can still squeeze in a bit of fun and sweet treats before the kids go back to school. You can download a trail guide here or pick up from any of the participating retailers.
