🌸 If you love Thai cuisine and are looking for a child-friendly place… and you love flowers, this is the place for you! This is the Giggling Squid in Windsor and omg the floral decor here is like the home of my dreams, flowers on trellises, across the ceiling, in the lampshades in shades of pinks and lilacs – ahhh 😍😍😍

They are super kid-friendly here, giving them colouring to do and having a kids menu. It’s 2 dishes plus a free rice portion for £6.99.

A great way to introduce children to Thai cuisine as the dishes are milder. Have a look at the full menu here: https://www.gigglingsquid.com/menu/windsor/https://www.gigglingsquid.com/menu/windsor/

Lily enjoyed her colourful Ruby noodles, and Tyler his chicken fried rice. And of course the crackers got our seal of approval. Great crunch and slightly spicy 👏 By the way, chicken and lamb is halal here (apart from the chicken wings).

G and I chose a starter and main each – they come arranged so beautifully. For starters G had the Sweet Jimica Salad that comes with giant tofu croutons.

I went for the Thai Salmon Nests that comes wrapped in a betel leaf. So pretty and so yummy.

Our mains were Pad Cha (a seafood stir-fry), and the Turmeric Sea Bass Parcel which is cooked in a banana leaf!

Both went nicely with a portion of rice. In warm weather, seafood/fish dishes are exactly what you need. Delicious 😋

Service is friendly here, and all in all we had a lovely Sunday evening! Too stuffed for dessert, but you know it’s a good meal when you’ve eaten everything. Giggling Squid, we’ll be back!

The Windsor Restaurant is next to the Theatre Royal, close the the river so you can go for a lovely riverside walk afterwards. Give them a try!
