43 February Half Term activities around Slough & Windsor | Berkshire

Hooray for February being here, the month of pink! Not only is it my birthday month, it’s the month of the Lunar New Year, Pancake Day, Valentines Day and of course February Half Term… a break from the school run! Here I’ve found 43 fun things happening around Slough and Windsor in Berkshire this half term. Starting off with the freebies:

1) Sat 10th Feb – Free Lunar New Year Celebrations:
Maidenhead 10.30am-12.30pm, Free Family Crafting at the Nicholsons shopping centre. Then Eagle Claw Kung Fu School present The Lion Dance 12.30pm from the Boy and the Boat Statue to Maidenhead High Street and then 3pm at Windsor Royal Station

2) Free Story and Craft at Windsor Library: Sat 10th Feb 2pm Valentines theme |Thurs 15th 10.30am Planes theme. (Also Tues 13th Feb 3pm – Make your own wind chime £2 per child, book here) • Tues 13th Feb 10.30am – Free Valentines Day Story and Craft session at Maidenhead Library

3) Free Make your own Bird Feeder (age 4-11) – Tue 13th Feb 2.30pm at Datchet Library, Weds 14th 2.30pm at Old Windsor library, Thurs 15th 2.30pm at Cookham Library

4) Sat 10th Feb 11am – 3pm: Two Rivers Shopping Centre, Staines – Free Dragon Dance performances and stilt walkers

5) Sat 10th Feb 11.30am, 1pm, 2.30pm, 4pm – free String Quartet Performances with the Dionysus Ensemble in Slough, by Primark at the Queensmere Observatory Shopping Centre.

6) Weds 14th Feb 11am – 4pm: Queensmere Shopping Centre, Slough – Free Valentines Kids Crafting with Art Classes Group. Meet Harmony the Heart mascot too.

7) Free Kids Craft Saturdays at Craft Coop Windsor – 3rd/10th/17th/24th Feb – booking required

8) Sat 10th – Sun 18th Feb: The Lexicon, Bracknell – Free Beano Gnasher Trail. Hand you completed trail leaflet in at Craft Coop (opposite Specsavers in Princess Square) to get a Free Beano comic, while stocks last.

9) Mon 12th – Fri 16th Feb: The Lexicon, Bracknell – Free Create with Beano workshops in Princess Square, for kids age 6-12. Slots must be BOOKED in advance.

10) IKEA Reading – Mon 12th Feb 11.30am – 4.30pm: Free Make and Take Valentines Cards
Tues 13th Feb 11.30am-16.30pm: Free Make and Take: A portrait for your valentine
15th/16th Feb: Free BYGGLEK building competition – put your building skills to the test in a competition to win your own BYGGLEK set, for age 6+

11) Tues 13th Feb at Windsor Royal Station – watch the annual Pancake Race. Races start at 10.20am.

12) Sunday 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th Feb 2.30pm – 5pm: Eton College Museums, Eton – Free to enter and free kids workshops at the Eton Natural History Museum

13) Mon 12th – Fri 16th Feb: Eden Shopping Centre, High Wycombe – Free family fun with stories, puppetry, crafts and more. No booking required, activities run from 11am-1pm and 1.30pm-4pm
