Pregnancy wise, it’s been a ‘fun’ two weeks – indigestion, dry nose, nosebleeds, feeling like I can’t breathe, pain under the bump when I walk, waddling like a duck!
The dry nose is really getting to me, especially when my hypnobirthing book tells me to breathe in through my nose. Not comfortable! It’s something I’ve had throughout the whole pregnancy, and it’s normal, but oh so annoying!
I had my whooping cough jab at the GP in Week 31 – this is to ensure baby is immune for the first few weeks before her 8 week jab. It was really quick but turned into a painful bump on my arm over the next few days. And then I felt ill with the flu over the weekend, so had to stay in, not doing much, as I can’t take cold and flu medicines while pregnant.
I don’t want this to be a moany post, so I’ll just say it’s been generally very uncomfortable and leave it like that. This isn’t forever!
Weeks 31 – 32 of my pregnancy were my last two weeks of work before maternity leave – woo! It actually went really quickly, and I spent it writing handover notes and clearing out my desk. I had so much random stuff in there – where does it all come from?! It had been easier to get a seat on the tube these two week as the bump is quite noticeable. On my last day, we had a pizza party in the office for lunch, and after work we had a little reunion with some old work buddies and I stayed out till 10pm! That’s late for me 😉 I thought, hey, when’s the next time I’ll be out in London?!
For Honey Nut, this is the latest outfit I have bought – it’s Ted Baker from Debenhams and I love it! Also my sister got these pineapple and watermelon outfits from Next, so so cute!
I had a family baby shower at the start of Week 31 – a good excuse to get all my cousins together. And I got even more cutie outfits – check them out!
I think we have settled on a real name for Honey Nut, maybe. Well we’re just trying it out and see how it sounds!
According to the Babycentre app, Honey Nut was the size of a coconut in Week 31, and kale in Week 32. She actually looks like a newborn now, but her lungs and digestive system aren’t fully developed yet. She probably has a full head of hair, which explains the indigestion!
These next few weeks I plan on getting the home ready for Honey, now I’ve got time on maternity leave. Lots of decluttering to be done!

We’re at pretty much the Sam stage. I’ll be 32 weeks in Saturday. You’re lucky to have started maternity already, I have another 3 weeks left and I can’t wait. Great post and good luck with everything. Lovely outfits by the way x
